These are stills taken off my transfer demo reel that has to be redone. My camera was not lined up just right and the hot spot edge snuck into the right side corners. You can tell by the 'orange' hue especially in pictures 1, 2, 5. All Kodachrome, what else would looks this clean? Transferred via a real time Cinemate-20 with Sony TR700 ntsc cam.

Very nice, cameraguy! I especially like pics #2 and #6...it's amazing how much clarity and sharpness the super 8 format can give you!

Hmmmm. Kind of rekindles the old discussion about overexposing or underexposing kodachrome 40.

It looks like if your foreground action has darker tones, your better off slightly overexposing. (Picture #1)

Was Picture #2 (top right) taken during The Winter months?

The pictures were all shot with different cameras all on automatic exposure.

#1 and #3 (top left, middle left) were shot with a Beaulieu 4008.

#2 shot with Canon 814XL-S (in August by the way),

    #4 and #6 with a Nikon R10.

    #5 Beaulieu 5008 using 1993 dated K40 shot in 2002

Also the camcorder doing the transfer recording was on auto exposure. I am using auto exposure for my transfer clients as it seems to give better results than leaving the camcorder locked at a certain exposure setting. I couldnt possibly re-adjust the exposure for each scene doing real time transfers. White Balance is manually set and locked though

    Camera guy,

In 1999 I sold on Ebay, about 20 rolls of 1993 Kodachrome, all well stored. I believe I sold it to a young guy in Texas...was that you?
